I got the fish tacos and they were delicious. These tacos were unique because they used ono and other more tropical ingredients. These tacos mango sauce is fire. I love the crispy cheese touch. The others in my family had the carne asada quesadilla and they loved it.
My husband and I shared: - Ono Fish Tacos - Carne Asada Quesadilla Both were very good, but the fish tacos were my favorite. I really loved the mango sauce on them. The portions were really big too. It does take a bit to get your food after ordering, so I loved looking around at the rest of the shops at the market. I'd happily come back again for more!
I've been following this place since the day I knew we were going to go to Kona for our honeymoon. This place is legit for mexican tacos that are on a island! Down to the ice cold mexican coke to accompany your tacos. I had the steak and fish taco and my wife had the steak, chicken, and pork. with cheese tortilla and I had them with just regular tortilla. So much flavor packed into every bite and the green salsa was one of the best one I have ever had. You can't beat it. If you search up mexican food, this place is the only one that looks legit and they prove it.
Best tacos on the island 10000%. We’ve been here a year ago and came back for take out again. The grilled cheese tortilla with fresh veggies and local caught fish, as well as carne asada tacos are the best. Thank you for serving Big Island!
I recently ordered the carne asada quesadilla at the Shaka tacoz pop up and it was delicious! It was grilled to perfection and the sauces were on point. They had a lot of good drinks to offer as well. Great food if you like Mexican it’s well worth checking them out.
Honestly, my wife and I both said that the pork burrito was the best thing we had eaten on our vacation! This is only a food truck, and the only seating is in the outdoor market right there, but it was easy to find a seat.
We stopped by for some fish tacos and ended up getting the daily special fish burrito as well. Both were excellent - fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of messy. The mango salsa with the tacos was exceptional. Service was great - friendly and helpful.
We got the fish tacos, and they were so delish. I got mine with mango sauce, and my tacos were quite spicy from the shaka sauce, so be warned in case you're spice averse.
